Food craft - Felt Macarons

For those who know me personally, they would know am a food stylist based in Singapore.
Off work, am an avid crafter who often experiments with different forms of crafts. So when I was approached by Ruth of The Happyshop to teach another class at The Workshop with a food theme, I was just over the moon!!!

Come 29th March 2014, I'll be conducting a little felt macaron workshop at The Workshop.

Details can be found here and I hope to see you there. :)

Crab meat pasta with roasted peppers

I had a craving. I had to satisfy it.

Fresh crabs, no canned crab meat pls. Boiled and deshelled.
Fresh crab

Oven roasted peppers. Love the charred flavor infused in it.

Crab meat pasta with roasted peppers

A lovely lovely dish that will keep me away from ordering similar dishes in restaurants for a while.

She needs a name : (

Am terrible because:

1. She proberly can't hear now because she was the first SBL I tried taking apart and totally injured her.

2. Her lips were terribly carved as I did not have the proper tools (I was based overseas and was desperate to custom a doll, with or without the right tools)

3. I never set her fringe properly

4. Her makeup looks terrible!!!!

5. I NEVER NAMED HER!!!

I'm trying to make amends. This is also my break month thus I've been going through my older gals, touching them up and giving them make-overs! Hopefully I've learnt a little some thing from Project runway and watching numerous episodes of Tim Gunn's guide to style!

ps. do feel free to leave name suggestions.

Here's a little picture story of her:

Flight

Home should never make us feel caged in.
Home should always be a freedom of space no matter how big or small it is.

Curtains created from a single panel of Ikea's Wilman Curtain that was cut into 2, followed by little applique birds stitched onto them. 5 birds were then stitched onto the base panel followed by 2 birds on the other panel to give an effect of depth and lightness of flight when the light shines through.
Total cost for this little project is approx. $6-7usd.
